Roof Panels, Floor Panels and Side Door Panels are duly insulated with Mineral Wool with a minimum thickness of 63mm.
Heating Coils:
The steam heaters are of the extended surface type. The heaters are mounted in the fan/heater compartment of ‘the machine body so that the re- circulating air in the machine passes over them. A 2″ gap between Heater to assist cleaning inclined at 2° to insure liquid will drain perfectly to the steam traps.
Circulating Fans:
The circulating fans are open running backward bladed centrifugal fans. The fans are belt driven by a standard foot mounting electric motor. The fan is carried on a substantial shaft running in sealed bearing units. The fan shaft is fitted with a cooling disc to minimise heat transfer to the bearings. An air seal is provided where the shaft enters the dryer housing.
Exhaust Fans(s):
The exhaust fan is a fully cased centrifugal type fan, belt driven from an electric motor. Note: it is assumed that any ducting provided by the purchaser to vent the Exhaust Fan(s) to atmosphere will be designed to minimise any pressure drop in the exhaust system.
ANCILLARY EQUIPMENT
Spiral Spreader Standard SS
The feed end is fitted with a ramshorn spreader to spread and distribute the product across the width of the conveyor. The spreader consists of a bi-directional stainless steel screw assembly which spreads the product from the centre of the conveyor out to each side of the conveyor width. The spreader screw is driven by a shaft mounted gearbox.
Rabbit Ears Leveller
The pin levellers are located near the start of each conveyor. The shape and position of the “rabbit ears” fixed to the shaft is such that they ensure the maximum degree of uniformity of product level throughout the length of the machine. The height of the levellers is adjustable.
The shaft is mounted on side supports, runs in sealed, self-aligning bearings and is driven by a shaft mounted gearmotor.
Kicker
There is a Kicker at intermediate intervals to allow smooth air flow preventing compaction of the wet product.
Rotary Doffer
The rotary doffer is located below the discharge point of the product residues that may be adhering to the conveyor. Supplied complete with Teflon doffing blades, the doffer is mounted on side supports, runs in sealed, self-aligning bearings and is driven by a shaft mounted gear motor.
Conveyor Dry Brush Station
For cleaning the conveyor, the brushes are located at the exit end of each conveyor, on the return pass. The brush covers the full width of the conveyor plates and includes supports, bearings, geared motor drive and electrical control.
All motors shall be standard TEFC type and suitable for a supply of 380V ±10%, 50 Hz, 3-phase as per IS:325 and also IP-54/55. All motors are SEW make.
Electrical Central Console
It comprises a sturdy carbon steel console for single-point control of all equipment. Star Delta or DOL starters for motors, on-off push buttons, miniature circuit breakers, main switch and fuses are provided. Temperature indicators for each stage are mounted on this console. Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs) for the conveyors are provided.
All MCBs and VFDs are of Siemens, ABB, or Schneider make. The panel also comprises a Gantt Chart – Digital Recorder.
